Less Than Truckload

From your dispatch system to your vehicle, seamlessly

Running a dynamic dispatch operation requires a dynamic solution in your vehicles as well as in your back-office system. FleetMind understands the LTL and TL business, having worked with leading carriers to develop the best wireless solution on the market — and we keep enhancing our technology regularly, so you stay on top of the critical information you need about your fleet.

In LTL, decisions are made quickly, and in the demanding last hours of the day, you need to make your pickups fast and get the maximum productivity from your drivers and your vehicles. Missing pickups is not an option, and collecting more freight along the way is common. You need to know where your vehicles are, and what material is coming back to your docks — as it is collected — so you can properly plan how you will get it to its destination.

Take a look at how FleetMind’s LTL and TL solutions can streamline your operation by providing real-time reporting of your vehicles’ positions, automating your dispatch and billing systems, and eliminating paperwork for your drivers.

Back-Office Integration

If you have installed a professional Back-Office system like Maddocks, Carrier Logistics, TMW, or LTL/400 you understand the challenge of getting your business processes aligned with a new software system. The commitment required to implement a new system is significant, but it brings great rewards. If you are like most of our customers, the last thing that you want is to implement another system, and to run more than one system simultaneously.

The good news is that, in many cases, you have already done the hardest part of linking your office processes to your vehicles and drivers.

FleetMind recognizes this, and has worked hard with back-office providers to make our system seamlessly connect to existing in-house systems. Almost all configuration and day-to-day interaction with your drivers and vehicles takes place, not with FleetMind screens, but with the screens and reports your staff are using today. The result: smooth, silent exchanges of work assignment and real-time status updates. Your drivers know that dispatch is making the right decisions, and dispatchers have the time to deal with unforeseen events because they are not wasting time on normal business status updates.

Mixed Fleet — Why Not?

We have many customers who have decided to install other quality On-Board Systems, such as Qualcomm or PeopleNet, for the long haul vehicles in their fleets. However, they have held back for their local or in-town vehicles. These clients are now pleased to operate both systems with no disruption to their dispatch operation. The loads for FleetMind-equipped vehicles are managed by the Fleetmind software interface and interleave perfectly with the on-going communications with long-haul vehicles.

Finally, you can take advantage of our lowest cost communications logic, and our best-in-class driver interface for busy LTL routes where driver activity management means the difference between making money on the route, and missing the goal.

Activity Management — The Driver Experience

Our customers tell us the effective management of LTL fleets requires accurate data and real-time action to make the best cost-effective decisions. A pickup missed or driver-missed dispatch quickly erodes the profit on many competitive bids. The challenge is to get accurate driver and customer service time data without burdening the driver with wasteful screen interaction and macro keying.

The FleetMind system was designed for drivers performing dozens or even over a hundred customer services (in Waste) per route. Every keystroke matters, every possible time stamp and location calculation happens automatically, and most importantly, it happens in collaboration with the driver. Some other systems attempt to capture all status changes with no driver input, unfortunately diluting the precise activities that account for the full day.

FleetMind has listened to our customers and their drivers—we have struck a balance that makes drivers easily able to account for their full day, with none of the approximations that reduce the value of arrival and departure time reporting.

Drivers have less paperwork and data entry, and virtually all work order data is loaded into the dispatch system for billing automatically.

A system for drivers, dispatchers, and accountants!
